Experiences on Hyperia at Thorpe Park

Hello everyone.

Has anyone had the chance to ride Hyperia at Thorpe Park? I'm curious about the overall experience. How intense is the ride, and does it live up to the hype as the UK's tallest and fastest rollercoaster?

I've heard it features a 236ft drop and reaches speeds over 80mph, but I'm particularly interested in the airtime moments and the two inversions. Also, how smooth is the ride, and does the lap bar restraint system enhance the sensation of weightlessness?

Any insights on the queue experience and ride reliability would be appreciated too!

Yes, I’ve ridden it and it definitely lives up to the hype. The first drop is incredible, especially at the back where you get a huge airtime rush. Hyperia is very smooth, and the lap bar restraints make the weightlessness moments feel even more intense. The stall and barrel roll give great hang-time without feeling rough. Queue times can be long since it’s new, and it did have a few teething issues early on, but reliability has improved. Overall, it’s a fast, smooth, airtime-packed coaster and easily one of the best rides at Thorpe Park.
