Hey everyone!

As spring kicks into full gear, I’ve been thinking more seriously about upgrading my outdoor space — and I figured this would be the perfect place to get some ideas and recommendations on landscape design services in the area.

Whether you're a homeowner aiming for backyard bliss or a business needing a polished, professional exterior, a well-thought-out landscape design can make a huge difference. From curb appeal to property value, the benefits are real — and now's the perfect season to make it happen.

Why Landscape Design Matters:

  • Boosts property value and curb appeal
  • Makes outdoor spaces more usable and enjoyable
  • Reduces erosion, improves drainage, and supports sustainable planting
  • Reflects your personality (or your brand if you’re a business!)

There are some great local providers out there. I’ve been looking into landscaping in Marietta, as well as landscaping in Woodstock for a friend, and both areas seem to have a lot of options. I’ve also seen some amazing work from companies offering commercial landscaping in Atlanta, and I’m curious if any of those firms also handle smaller residential jobs.

Questions for the Community:

  • Have you worked with any landscape contractors in Marietta GA or nearby that you’d recommend?
  • What features did you include in your design — patios, lighting, native plants?
  • For commercial property owners: Who do you use for commercial landscaping in Atlanta, and how’s your experience been?
  • Any tips on what not to do when planning your outdoor makeover?

My Experience:

We had a basic lawn for years, but last year we added a small patio and some native Georgia plants. It made a huge difference! Now we’re thinking bigger — maybe a fire pit, improved lighting, or even a small garden wall. I’m currently talking to a couple of landscape contractors in Marietta GA, but I’d love to hear what others have done before making a final decision.

Your turn!
